Johan had admitted that Werner had been the one to strike him, causing his face to bruise. It had taken a lot of coaxing, and both Stuart and Peter's reassurances that they understood that Werner hadn't done it on purpose. Johan didn't want his lover to be in trouble with his family. He trusted Werner, even while he was angry and hurt that Werner had struck him. He knew Werner hated that he'd done it and that he'd do everything in his power to ensure that it wouldn't happen again.

Poor, tired Werner was still curled up in the bed he shared with Johan when Johan went to check on him. Renee had left him a message on her journal saying that Werner may be dying. Not because of some human illness, but because he was a werewolf and that wore out their bodies and Johan couldn't stand it. He couldn't stand the thought of losing his Werner. Their relationship was open, but committed and it had been for ten years. He didn't even know if he'd know what to do with himself if he lost his love.

Johan was practising his piano when Werner stumbled into the room, falling to the floor short of where Johan was sitting. Johan played a distinctly sour note, before jumping up and running to Werner's side. "Werner! What's happening, My Love?!"

Johan was practising his instrument of choice, fingers flying over the keys in a blur of motion. The notes filled the room, while the song they created brought about a rather frantic and frenzied atmosphere. Johan was experimenting, and he would have to remember to write some of this down later, lest it be lost to the walls of the Kemp music room forever.

Johan made his way into his bedroom, doing his best to keep it quiet. "You have a visitor." He said to Werner, trying to keep the smile on his face. The truth was, seeing Werner sick and looking so very fragile was terrifying. Werner wasn't fragile, dammit. Werner was a bloody werewolf! But now he looked like just another sick person, and the doctors still couldn't tell them what was wrong. He'd been getting a little better over the past few days, but Johan just wanted it to go away. Seeing the man you loved crumbling was not on his list of things he wanted to experience.

The hospital was a place of chaos at the moment, but for the most part...the chaos was good. The Templar had tried their hand at attacking the people Peter loved, and they'd failed. The battle for Robert MacGavillary Hospital was short and simple, considering Rolf's idea of bringing back 4 dead people to take the front line. Six if you added in Robert and Thomas. The Templar's tranquiliser darts were useless against them, and the demons who came behind the front line made short work of the Templar. Peter had stipulated that they should be taken alive if it was at all possible. It hadn't all been possible. But the holding cells under St. Francis's were full to bursting now, not to mention the few of them that had been taken to jail when police arrived at the various houses that had been attacked.

Johan was combing through the library in Klaus' old office, with Liz's permission of course. He was fascinated by all the law books that lined the walls. It was like they had a book for everything. "Hey look. Educational law..." He read out to Werner who, being a librarian, looked like he was in seventh heaven.

Productivity was an addiction.

Joanne was sitting on her bed with the box open in front of her, rolling the ring round and round in her hand and reading the letters. She'd sorted them into chronological order, but all in all she was only getting one half of the conversation. She could only use her imagination and patches of memory to imagine how her mother might have responded.

Scarlett hadn’t really been doing much that afternoon. In fact, she’d spent most of it lying on her back and singing at the posters on the roof. Sharon Den Adel seemed mostly unimpressed and Scarlett had to convince her that she hadn’t really given up her opera vocals for all time and that it just wasn’t the right thing for Entropy. It was somewhere in the middle of explaining Entropy’s angle to a poster that Scarlett decided that she might, just possibly, be going stir crazy. With a sigh she jumped up off her bed and- after dragging her hair brush though the tangles- called out to James. “Hey, I’m going out, okay?”

James came out from the living room toward her room looking slightly apprehensive. “Maria’s here.” )
