Deirdre was sitting on the floor of the living room with her twins darting around the room while she watched them. They were nearly two now, and their personalities were absolutely showing through. Eiley was more reserved. She had a head of shockingly-red hair like her mother, and she loved to be read to. She would gaze at the pictures and babble to them while you read. Gabriel was Deirdre's little brown-haired exhibitionist. He hated wearing clothes, and he didn't seem to be afraid of anything. The moment he learned a word, he would yell it loudly and repeatedly until it no longer sounded like a real word. Deirdre loved the both of them so much, even if they reminded her that her life had not turned out like she had tried to so carefully shape it.

Serenity sat in the octagonal library of her converted-church home. She was humming tunes to herself and scribbling notes on a page in front of her. The library had better acoustics than the room with the piano in it, so it was better for writing, even if she didn't have a piano to try her melodies out on.

Things had been quiet on the band front as Spectre focused on his other projects for a little while. Serenity had two songs on their upcoming album and she was happy with that.

Personally, things were quiet as well, but that was exactly how she wanted them. Her sister was still living in what was supposed to be Serenity's room, but sharing with Leon had brought her even closer to him.

Serenity had never thought she would actually have a real relationship after Jason. He had broken her so thoroughly and she hadn't known she was capable of the kind of love she felt for Leon. Even more, she hadn't known she could trust someone again, but she did.

As she pencilled in more notes, she smiled and scribbled a title at the top of the page. Later, when Leon returned home, Serenity would play the song for him. Then she would inform him it was his song and it was about how he made her feel. She hoped he liked it.

Thomas was sitting on the sofa in their living room, his son on his knee while his daughter Katya sat on the floor, drawing a picture of something round and purple. James was reading to Thomas, showcasing his incredible brilliance for a boy who had just turned five. The book he was reading was easily fourth-grade level, but that was often the way things went with angels.

This should be backdated a bit but I don't know how much!

As much as Peter hated flying, he loved going to the airport when it meant picking up someone he loved. His family was returning from their vacation in Spain and Peter could barely keep still while he waited in the international arrivals lounge of Heathrow airport.

Alisdair was looking at him and Patrick suddenly found it hard to think. His throat felt like it was closing up and his stomach clenched almost painfully.

Then I realised there was nothing left worth fighting for )

Battering the walls and the doors did nothing but split her knuckles and leave her bleeding with no one to soul-suck in order to heal herself.

Poor, crazy Svetlana )

For a fifteen-year-old with the vocabulary of a forty-year-old, having to re-learn how to walk was one of the most frustrating things in the world.

Joe lived with his very gay son, his granddaughter, and his son's boyfriend. It was a perfect living situation in his mind, save for the fact that his wife and daughter were no longer with them. But as far as his life was now, he was finally content again.

Being the professional musician of the two, it wasn't often that Flynn came upon his husband playing music. Indeed, when he came home and heard someone on the piano in their music room, Flynn assumed it was Adrina playing a fairly simple song. While Quinn was good at playing the piano, Adrina was amazing at it.

Having his own home that he shared with people he actually liked (though if you asked, he would just say he tolerated them) didn't mean he didn't return to the hospital often, seeking company he didn't have to hide from. Nova was the person he visited the most often, but since their relationship was casual and would always remain so, he didn't visit her exclusively.
