daniel_marlow: (Getting mad)
It was Danny's first time out since he'd been at Priory and before then he wasn't exactly hitting the town every night. The trip to Robert MacGavillary Memorial Hospital felt strange and by the time they arrived, Danny was just glad to be inside again.

Having arrived early, Danny sat in the waiting room, willing his friends to show up soon. He couldn't get his mind off what he was about to do. He hadn't told any of his friends his plan because he knew they would stop him. It involved getting closer to Greg than he ever hoped to be again, and just the thought of it was weighing on him. He hoped it would work out and he could get the information he needed. Without it, this was all going to be for nothing.
It had been over two months, but finally Dylan had been released from hospital. It was little wonder he had been in for so long, since he had been hit by a car, and his injuries had been terribly severe. Lydia had been there for her boyfriend as much as she could, though it had been more difficult once school had gone back. She missed seeing him in the hallways of London College so much. They had been nearly inseparable for over five years. Being without him had been like missing a limb.

Or a lung.

Love is a funny thing )

Danny never had a clue he was being followed and it might not have mattered at all, were it not for the car.

Rachel had been through so much lately, and whether they still went to prom on the 19th or not, Danny wanted to make his girlfriend happy if he could at all. He figured with or without prom, if he showed up at her door all dressed up and carrying flowers, he could put a smile on her face. Which was why he jumped at the chance to go shopping with Dylan the moment his mother mentioned she needed to speak to his father alone, just the two of them.

Well shit )

PLACEHOLDER FOR DANNY TO FIND OUT EVERYONE IS DEMONS
daniel_marlow: (Grin glasses)
While Danny was really glad he had met two people on campus who seemed to actually understand him, his best friend Dylan was still the person he texted when he needed someone to lean on. Danny had his mother, sure, but sometimes it was nice to talk to a friend and not a parent.

This is pretty shit, but I wanted to write the boys together )
For a fifteen-year-old with the vocabulary of a forty-year-old, having to re-learn how to walk was one of the most frustrating things in the world.

Deirdre was surrounded by people she loved. She had crawled into Renee's bed, despite the fact that the fit was slightly precarious. She was three people at the moment, and four people in a hospital bed was slightly ridiculous, even if Peter had ensured that Renee was set up in a comfortable room. Julian was by the side of the bed, reading a story book to Deirdre's twins. He liked interacting with them since he had missed this part of Aislinn's life. Mostly, Aislinn had missed it too.... Little Dylan was there, curled up on another chair, dozing off, and Quinn was watching over them all without saying a word. For once...

Deirdre was lying on her little brother's bed and he was watching her with some concern while he discussed the greater points of his history essay and she shifted around, trying to find a comfortable position. She finally decided that there wasn't one, and gave up.

When Dylan awoke, the first thing he saw was his mother. It made sense, her bright red hair was like a beacon, blazing away against the starkness of the white room. Finian was beside her, holding her hand. And Caitlin was clenching it back so tightly her knuckles had gone ghost-like. She'd never had to worry about a child like this before. Deirdre was always so responsible, or at least it looked that way to her. And Dylan had run off before, but Caitlin had just known he'd be fine. He was a genius, after all, and able to use his intellect to keep himself safe even at 11 years of age. But while Dylan was just lying there, motionless and looking so tiny against the bed, she had no such reassurance. Dylan's brilliance couldn't get him out of death if the injuries were bad enough.

The cruise for Peter's birthday was absolutely perfect. Peter loved it. He loved that he got to spend the time with his friends and family and there certainly were a lot of those around tonight... He was thrilled to hear Spectre and Derek Sherinian playing, and Deirdre sang occasionally too. It was wonderful. Even if he had doubled the amount of pain killers he was taking just to numb his stupid aching head. Once he was headache free, he was able to enjoy himself immensely. He had a wonderful chat with Dimitri and Sergei, and he laughed as Tasha danced with Hope and Fiona all at once. He danced with Aly too. And then with his daughters all in turn. Even Caleb wanted to dance, but only so he could stand on Peter's shoes and get a 'ride'. Lavannah was sitting by the railing chatting with Gavin, though she was watching Johanna with someone else who Peter recognised was Will. Evey kept running up to Will and then darting away again to chat with Deirdre and her girls as well. Every time there was a break in the music, Spectre was followed around by Jacinta and Edward Montgomery, and they proceeded to parent him. He looked oddly pleased. Abigail and Stuart were dancing and looking quite happy. Even Robert looked okay, though he hung back away from the action. Thomas was talking with Mary and Kat who was rolling her daughters back and forth in the stroller as she talked. People were everywhere, dancing and laughing and eating.

And then Peter started to feel a little strange. He excused himself from Aly's presence and he slipped down under the deck into one of the small hallways so he could lean up against the thin wall. It might be that he was just a little motion sick, but the cruise had ended about twenty minutes ago and the boat was now docked. It was gently rocking back and forth, but nothing major. And still Peter felt incredibly dizzy. He put a hand to his head and he crouched down a little, willing himself not to be sick.

Everyone had sat down to a lovely dinner after the wedding. Deirdre had taken her place up at the table with the rest of the wedding party. She'd listened through Thomas's Best Man toast, which was much the same as the speech he'd given Peter in the change room. She'd eaten the food she and Jacinta had so carefully prepared and then she'd snuck off somewhere with Pierre and Kait hot on her heels. Kat saw them go and she followed a few minutes later.

It was a surprise and no one had told Peter. Ethereal Facade had decided to play for his reception and with the dinner over, it was time. Everything had been set up beforehand and so the lights dimmed and the curtain fell and Deirdre grinned widely. She took hold of her mic and waited for Pierre to announce them. It was time for people to dance!
