Kat and Peter had an agreement. She acted as a personal trainer for him because she was still learning, but it gave her experience. And in return, she didn't tell a soul (well, Tasha knew) that she was helping him work out because he didn't want it getting around that he was turning into quite the Mr Hardbody. Peter had always been pretty in shape, if you took away the times when he was broken or ill. He was too thin, but he wouldn't have found jogging difficult. He just didn't like it. Now he had learned to do all sorts of incredible things, thanks to Kat's well-paced tutorials. Peter just didn't want anyone to think of him as a fighter. He wanted to have the skills if he needed them, but he didn't want them to define him.

Kat wasn't feeling an hundred percent and she hadn't been since she heard of what had happened in the small town of Iris. Everyone was so upset about the death and the families and the poor poor people, and all Kat could think about was that once she had killed someone...two people, and caused their families a lot of pain and no one had thrown a fund raiser for them. Why not those families. Just because their loss was on a smaller scale...just because Kat's hand was forced by a demon...did that make their loss less significant? Did it make Kat's loss less significant? Kat had made her father give the families money, but no one else knew that. No one had asked. No one seemed to want to know.

Everyone had sat down to a lovely dinner after the wedding. Deirdre had taken her place up at the table with the rest of the wedding party. She'd listened through Thomas's Best Man toast, which was much the same as the speech he'd given Peter in the change room. She'd eaten the food she and Jacinta had so carefully prepared and then she'd snuck off somewhere with Pierre and Kait hot on her heels. Kat saw them go and she followed a few minutes later.

It was a surprise and no one had told Peter. Ethereal Facade had decided to play for his reception and with the dinner over, it was time. Everything had been set up beforehand and so the lights dimmed and the curtain fell and Deirdre grinned widely. She took hold of her mic and waited for Pierre to announce them. It was time for people to dance!
