Today (Joe, Adam)

Joe was supposed to be in Blackpool with his son and granddaughter, but in the end he had opted to stay with Adam. Crystal was still missing and Joe wasn't going to leave his oldest and best friend alone while his love was gone. Especially not after Joe knew exactly how it felt to lose someone you loved. Joe had lost more than anyone ever should. He hated that Adam now stood to lose so much too.

"He asked me if I would die for her. Peter. I don't want Tasha with me..."

Peter hadn't been able to argue with that. He didn't want Tasha there either. And he didn't want Paul to be alone. Paul was his friend and he rather didn't feel like losing another one of those. Peter himself couldn't die. It was for that reason that he went with Paul while Paul frantically rattled off the details of his short conversation with the person who had abducted Lorelei.

An odd sort of bonding (Flynn, Paul, Bill)

Flynn leaned back against the bars of his holding cell, feeling like the biggest idiot to ever walk the Earth. Why hadn't he thought of this? Why hadn't he realised it would be harder to get into London than out of it. Especially if you were a former member of the PIRA and the authorities now knew you had changed your name, thanks to getting arrested again for spitting on a cop. Of course he wasn't going to get three feet past the border before he was pushed into a holding cell for questioning.

Why hadn't he realised it would be harder to get into London than out of it. The party was beautiful. Peter was surrounded by the people he loved, and he couldn't think of anything better than that. After the year he'd had, finding he had terminal cancer, losing the battle and his memories along with it, his death, the Templar...everything. It meant so much just to be here. Just to be with them.
