With her impending councelling session in less than an hour, Josephine was spending the time as far away from her room as she could. Sooner or later they'd find her, there weren't any true hiding places around here, but she was going to make it as difficult for them as possible, as always. She'd acquired a pass to go outside from one of the new nurses and was wandering around on the damp grass, examining the fences. They were high, concrete walls, covered in parts in ivy. Never, of course, enough ivy to hold a person's weight, even some of the extreme anorexics they had in here. The ivy was some vain attempt to make the Ward look less of a prison, but it was the same school of thought that believed two way mirrors were supposed to convey some feeling or privacy.

It was early morning, before nine, at least, and a dull, grey sky lay close overhead. One of those days that was twin with the day before, probably closely related to the day after. Josephine lay her back against the concrete wall and sighed, watching the handful of nurses that were outside, supervising. Most of them had their eyes on her, so she gave them the finger and turned away, heading towards the entrance driveway. The gravel drive was fenced off by high, iron bars, but nothing that blocked vision.

She was already walking towards them when something happened. Like a breath of hot air that forgot to bend around her, taking the short route straight through her stomach. Her eyes fell on a tall, redheaded girl walking up the drive, and somehow, Josephine just knew. She gasped and put a hand on her stomach as the feeling changed into a very bizare pull-push feeling, like it couldn't make up its mind if it wanted them closer or further apart. She was rooted to the spot, staring at the girl who hadn't seemed to notice her, till she slipped into reception and disappeared from view and the feeling shattered like she'd been held there by actual bonds.

Josephine shot towards the iron gates and threw herself against them, as close to the point where the girl disappeared as she could. The iron didn't budge, of course, it rarely did- and it was going to be easier to get back inside the hospital and find the girl there than try and force the bars to bend.

She spun around and sprinted back towards the door, breaking through the group of supervising nurses- one of them said something and reached out to grab her wrist, but she twisted her arm and shoved him back into another. A blond one, David, closed the door gently and stood in front of it, his arms out.

"Whoa, slow down there Josephine. What's the hurry."

"Let me in I have to see her." Josephine said, the words spilling rapidly from her mouth. "Get out of my way and let me in I have to see her." She sneered at David when he wouldn't back down, taking a step towards him.

"Who are you talking about, Josephine?" He asked, his voice emotionless, trained to be calm. She hated it, hated him, hated- she shoved him up against the door and growled. It may have just been the light, but her eyes, just slits now, were tinted with red. She'd rip his head off if she had to, she needed to get inside and she needed to find that girl and she needed to find out what she was and why she was the same.

Four arms grabbed her from behind and yanked her off David, and a cold needle slid into her arm. She cried out in frustration and anger, and tried to pull away but there were too many holding her and the drug was always starting to make her lightheaded. "Fuckers." she muttered, falling forwards into David's arms.

"I need to- to- the girl- I need- she's...de..." and the rest of the world fell away.
