It was still the early afternoon. Such an odd time for him to be awake. But he was restless. And he had to go out toady and meet up with Jocelin anyway. Ry picked up his mobile phone and quickly txted; What time you at skate park?
He got out of bed. There was no use in staying any longer; it wasn't as though he was going to get back to sleep now anyway.
Going down to the kitchen, he found out that Pierre was the only person in the house at this time. That made sense. The other girls went to school at this time of day after all. He would truly have to get serious about that street performing this weekend if he wanted to have any money after he spent most of what he'd brought with him this afternoon.
Murmuring a vague greeting to Pierre as he picked up a piece of bread and wrapped it around a slice of cheese, Ry walked out of the house, picking up his phone on the way.
There now, was the reply Jocelin had written back.
It didn't take him long to get there, less to identify Jocelin in the group of people there. They caught each others' eyes, and then Jocelin was heading towards him.
"It's been a while, friend," Jocelin said to him, clasping their hands loudly before letting go. "What you been up to?"
Ry rolled his eyes. "You know how it is, popular as I am. Everyone wants a piece of me."
Jocelin's gaze returned back to the group he had come from. "Yeah, I know what you mean," he murmured with an ironically raised eyebrow. "Come, let's walk."
The two of them headed further from the skate park. "So, how have you been, anyway? I heard tell it'd gotten unbareable living with your old man?"
"Not a problem now," Ry returned. "Moved out yesterday. Pretty cool place, actually. Nice girls."
"Ah," Jocelin nodded as though understanding words Ry didn't say. Ry smirked and added, "They're gay."
Jocelin's eyebrows raised until they disappeared under his auburn brown hair. "Interesting," he muttered. His face was silently considering. Knowing his dealer wasn't very fussy about gender himself, Ry recognised it as probably very worthwhile consideration.
"So," Jocelin's eyes zipped around their surroundings as he reached into a pocket. "That who you're sharing this with then?"
The small plastic bag contained a green brown woodsey substance. "Nah," Ry said, taking it off him, and slipping a couple of notes unobtrusively into his palm in return. "They don't smoke, not so much as I know."
Jocelin shrugged, losing interest as he pocketed the money. "You should invite me around to your new pad sometime," he told him idley. "Certainly never did with your last place."
"Never invited anyone there," Ry muttered darkly, "But sure, give me a date, you're quite welcome there."
"Good to know. Always nice to have one's minions so welcoming." Jocelin glanced at his watched. "Ooops, must run. You know how it is. Popular as I am." He grinned a little sleazily at his friend. "Places to go, people to please."
With a little bounce in his step, Jocelin tipped an imaginary hat and headed back towards the skate park. Ry glanced at his mobile. Good enough time to get back home to put this away before meeting Slink for fish and chips and drinking and smoking at his house later in the night.

Fridays at Regents just seemed to be messier than the other days. Maybe it was because she had to do all the little things that she'd put off during the week, like mopping floors that didn't look like they needed it or emptying trash cans that could probably last one more day. She got home just before five, flicked on some music and started dancing round, stripping off her overalls and finding something else to wear. She settled on a bright blue singlet top with a black mesh tshirt over top and a short, tartan skirt, then wrapped herself in her heaviest coat to keep the cold out. It was already starting to get dark fifteen minute later when she left, phone in hand. She wasn't sure where Ry had said to meet up, so she started off in the direction of the skate park, texting him as she went to find out where he was.

Ry was still at home when he recieved Slink's txt. Home, he liked that sound of that. In other news, he was just basically too lazy to have headed out to meet her already. Looking at the time, he knew he was running late. What had just started as one slif had ended in this terminal 'ehh' feeling of non-movement. He decided he kinda liked it.
Of course, he'd turned his computer off before rolling and lighting, just to avoid any undue stupid posting once he got to that stage of the evening. He thought he'd seen Deidre's light on as he'd gone past, but hadn't really stopped to investigate on pain of finding her and Renee in 'compromising positions' as Pierre had already told him the full story of doing.
When faced with Slink's txt, he txted her back lazily with, Home now, come over?
It wouldn't take her that much of a difference of time to get here instead. As an after thought, he added, Can call for take out to cure munchies later, before pressing 'send'.

His legs were hooked over one of the arms of the chair, his shoulder blades braced against the other. Reaching up, Ry scratched his head as the sound of someone rapping on the door penetrated his consciousness.
Blinking a couple of times, Ry nodded to himself and forced himself to pull himself back together. At least some. His phone had beeped a little while ago, which told him that someone, probably Slink, had replied, which meant it was more than likely her at the door.
Sighing, his long legs swung around until feet touched the floor and he opened his door, making sure again that his windows were open behind him. Then he padded out to the front door and ushered Slink in.
"Welcome, shall I escort you to my boudoir?" he said, with an amusing parody of sleaze.
