Ry waited until it was dark before he ventured outside. It was the first time that he had moved outside since getting the secondary rejection notice. He had been 'this close' to contacting Renee and cancelling the whole thing. Even know, he didn't feel up to being around a crowd of what was likely to be just a lot of people.
But then he had everything prepared. And he could only hide out in his dank little room, hearing his father yelling out at his mother who only gave back in vacant silence for so long before he himself turned utterly nutty. This was good, he told himself stubbonly, rugged up against the cold of the night. It was good that this was something that forced himself out of himself and his house.
