Delilah sat out the front of the Chinese resturant near her aunt's house and awaited Pierre. She was a little early and was keeping herself busy was prawn crackers. And worrying.

She had trouble even admitting to herself why this meeting was going to take place. What had happened any other time guys had shown too much interest? She just cut them out. So why was Pierre any differant?

Del shoved another prawn cracker in her mouth and pouted.

It had been a very full day for Pierre. He was settling into Regents well, and the English lessons he had taken when he first moved to the country had done wonders for his self-confidence. School had been followed immediately by a few hours at the mechanics, getting him all lovely and greasy.

Pierre was up and getting ready (in his own bathroom!) the minute Deirdre told him Del had invited him over. As always, any momentary distraction from the various plights of his friends was good, and Del was just brilliant at taking his mind off things and generally having fun. Besides, he had missed her these last couple of days.

Delilah's only problem with clothes shopping was dressing for it. It meant she really had to ignore her usual layers, buckles, zips, and other assorted difficulties. It was always too much hassle in a change room. No one wanted to take half an hour to try on a pair of trousers. With that in mind she'd opted for a simple short and strappy tartan dress, with stripped stockings, and her usual combat boots.

As she pulled up outside Renee's house she wished that her motorbike possessed a horn. She pulled off her helmet and looked up to the window she knew was Renee's. Hmmm...

Pulling out her mobile phone she sent a text: Hey sexy you better be home. look out ur window.

Ry lay in bed, Del lying asleep beside him. He was still wide awake. Thinking. After being more rough with her than he ever had been, Ry had finally realised what 'Hell spider' had been up his arse these past days. Ever since he had realised what had happened to Slink. He still didn't know whether she wanted him to go to the doctor with her. He still didn't know and couldn't ask because as of pretty much now, she and Jude were in France. Doing god knows what.

And hell, damn him if he wouldn't admit he was worried about her )

"Thanks. Making things uncomfortable between me and my flat mate. Exactly what I needed." Ry reached over and turned the monitor off. Beside him, Jocelin stood with hands up innocently.

"Hey, I can't help it if Denny can't take a joke," he said. He glanced down as he rummaged around in his pocket.

"But you can help from riling her further," Ry said pointedly. "And it's 'Deirdre'."

Jocelin just shrugged. "What's the difference, eh? Denny, Deirdre, it's only a name." He looked up and reached towards Ry's computer.

Ry slapped his friend's hand away in a no computer for you fashion )
