Deirdre had had a relatively long day studying and writing a paper for her online course. She decided to get away from it all, and she spent some time with Flynn and then at the hospital before heading to her father's house. They had spent several happy times together, drinking coffee and talking. Even laughing, which was something Deirdre had never believed was possible to do with her father. But clearly, she was wrong. Liam was different now. Open and wonderful.
And gone. When Deirdre reached his flat, he was nowhere to be seen. His door was open, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. Nothing was out of place. Everything he owned was still there. Deirdre waited for hours, but he never showed. And horror dawned in the pit of Deirdre's stomach.
He's gone evil again. Deirdre thought, feeling her heart break. He's gone evil and he left me alone. Again.
Deirdre sank onto his sofa and she cried into the pillows, wishing her daddy would come back and make it better. But he never did.
