Being in the room where he'd been when he'd made the decision to settle matters within himself did a fairly good job of pushing that objective back to the forefront of his mind. But having it there just made the air in front of him heavy with words he wasn't yet saying.

He'd come over to Anna and Charlie's, in Charlie's absence. The first DVD that they'd watched came to an end. Ry bit the corner of his lip. It was a very feminine trait, but he wasn't the most feminine of males. He was reassured somewhat when Anna looked across to him, and smiled at him. He smiled back.

She was quieter than her best friend Charlie. He liked that about her, being often a fan of quietness himself. Not that he minded Charlie's bounciness, anymore than he minded it from Renee, Stephie, or Chloe. But it was nice that he could get both quiet and loudness when he came over to Anna and Charlie's.

Before Anna could ask about what movie to watch next, or whether he wanted to watch another one, Ry said to her, "I want to ask you something."
