There was still so sign of Peter and it distressing the hell out of Aly. She felt the grief of two people; one missing a husband and the other missing a brother and best friend. It was a strange dichotomy of emotion, but it all meant the same thing. They had to find Peter and they had to do it soon.

When Peter had asked Thomas to meet him at the hospital because there was something he needed to see, Thomas knew at once exactly what that something was. He had admitted to Peter that he awoke every morning with a fresh feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach. And he went to sleep each night, only to relive the horror he had experienced at the hands of Amaris over and over again in his dreams. Thomas knew in his heart that Peter was right. There was something he needed to see at the hospital. But that didn't mean he wasn't terrified of doing that very thing.

Deep in the basement of the Robert MacGavillary Memorial Hospital, there was a ward that wasn't used. It had once been home to a long line of rooms with electro-therapy beds, used to treat the more dangerous patients of their ailments. Peter hadn't wanted to house any of the hospital's denizens in that ward. It just didn't feel right. It was like the air was ionised with evil. He couldn't even stand to bring Lavannah down there to exorcise the place like she had with the rest of the wards. No, whatever it was that lurked in that ward was going to stay there.

And now it had company.

Peter was the only one with the code to get past the three doors you needed to pass to even get into the place. And when Razvan dutifully delivered the unconscious Amaris to his hospital, Peter was quick to steal her away downstairs with the help of Katia. Katia was someone Peter could trust implicitly. More importantly, she was a vampire and she could touch Amaris without the demon taking her soul and healing herself.

Peter watched with cold eyes as Katia set up everything. Amaris was placed on a simple bed in a simple room. She was changed into hospital attire and then attached to a machine to keep her fed because Peter didn't want starving her on his conscience. The rest, he would consider karma. Katia did nothing to remove the five bullets from Amaris' body. They stayed where they were, lodged in her chest and her head. And she lay there in the dark, behind four doors including her own, with no hope for escape. She would lay there until the end of days. And she didn't even know.

Brian Montgomery was not well versed in the world of internet journals. Amaris Vandenhoff, however, was. And when she showed him, he was fascinated. His pathetic siblings, Aly and David, had practically their entire lives written on them until they'd wised up, (thanks to a homicidal Amaris) and started locking things. But some of the early entries were still public and accessible.

As were Spectre Mors'.

Eamon had arrived early enough in the morning, that he could escort Quinn to university. Flynn went along as well, and Eamon and Flynn entertained each other in the library (looking up headlines that were also double entendres) while Quinn gave his oral presentation. Once it was over, he met up with his brother and his boyfriend for lunch, grinning widely. "How'd it go!?" Eamon asked, pushing a stool out towards Quinn so he could sit.

Helping Caleb with his maths homework was generally a tedious time because Caleb hated it so much, and almost any interruption would have been welcomed. But when the alarm for the Kemp House perimeter went off, Peter thought that 'any interruption' might need to be re-evaluated. They weren't expecting anyone. Anyone who was welcome on the property knew the code to bypass the system. Trouble was on it's way and when Anna turned to Peter with fear in her eyes and said simply, "Daddy...demon...bad..." Peter was on his shaky feet in an instant.
