Watching Rachel hit Greg was somehow different than watching Zoe hit him. Zoe had been there when Danny was rescued. Zoe had been hurt by the man, but Rachel was doing this just to protect him and it felt- It felt like he was making her violent and he didn't like that.
He let go of Cai's shirt, finally, and moved over to Rachel, slowly taking her hand in his. It felt like there was so much more to say. There were still things he needed to scream at Greg or he would have left already. If this was upsetting his girlfriend this much though-
"Rach, it's okay," he said, moving to kiss her forehead.
Greg, who looked quite worse for wear by now, smiled up at them with blood on his teeth. "Sure it is," he growled at them. "It's fine, you'll just never be able to be together without the ghost of me haunting you."
"You know what?!" Danny yelled, turning towards his Uncle, his grip on Rachel never wavering. "You think you see fear in me? I see it in you too. You're terrified because you know you're stuck here. Forever. You'll never touch me again and it's killing you, you sick fuck. So while you like to think you've won, the truth is I get to live my life with the woman I love and you're going to rot here."
