Percy had grown up around illusionists and watching someone go into the tank the first time wasn't exactly a new experience, so he wasn't entirely sure why he was so goddamn nervous. Sure he was going to watch every second and they had worked out a hand signal for Marina to make if she was stuck and unable to get out, but his heart still felt like it was stuck in his throat.
Two years ago he had watched his brother very nearly die doing exactly this.
"I'm ready," he said, never betraying his nerves to Marina. Like she needed something else to distract her! "You remember how to slip the lock and then reach for the tank hinge?"
