Tal just clung to his hand, ignoring the vague sensations that something was happening to her below the waist. Baby Alice was pulled from her body and immediately several people rushed to save her life while others worked on stitching Tallulah up.
"What's happening?" Tallulah wailed, trying to turn her head to see what they were doing to her daughter. She didn't hear crying. Wasn't there supposed to be crying? "Jinx, JinxJinx what's happening to Alice?"
