"Sorry," Cai said once and his voice cracked a tears built up against it. He squeezed his eyes shut and whispered "Sorry sorry sorry I'm so sorry," because whispering was easier than talking and he needed to say it. Sorry this happened. Sorry Cai couldn't stop it. Sorry he couldn't help now. Sorry Danny had to live with memories like that for the rest of his life. Sorry that Cai himself had to, as well.
