Cai had been quiet this time, letting Zoe tell her story. She hadn't mentioned cages, which was probably deliberate. People didn't like talking about things that made them sound vulnerable, he knew. Zoe definitely seemed like one of those people.
It was still hard to imagine the reality of what she'd gone through, even though he'd seen it himself.
"I don't know," Zoe said, finally deciding that she couldn't handle Rachel on her lap and wiggling deliberatly to make her shift. Rachel shifted, and sat down on the floor next to Danny's legs, instead. "I haven't seen able to see what I want to see, me and Cai, we're just starting to work on that now."
"Cool," Rachel said softly, leaning her head against Danny's knee.
