Zoe really appreciated the fact that Danny didn't push her. It wasn't that he didn't care to know - she could tell that he did - it was that he seemed to understand that some words could crush you if you let them, if you used them too carelessly. She wondered what he would say, if she told him she'd spent thirteen days in a cage after her family sold her to the auction. She wondered what Rachel would say. She wondered if they would believe her. She wondered how she could expect Rachel to tell her her secrets when Zoe still had so many of her own.
