Jinx was in the middle of trying to defeat the second level of Dark Souls II when his phone made a nazgul screech to indicate a text. After a minute or so of swearing at the guy attempting to decapitate him, Jinx reached one hand over to grab the phone and slide it to see who'd texted. He grinned at Tal's name and then, pausing the game, texted to say he'd be around soon.

In the kitchen at Vic Lane, Jinx raided the fridge for Deirdre Products to take around. It was way easier to find one of the million leftovers in the fridge than make something for his girlfriend from scratch.

He'd gone out the door when he remembered he'd forgotten to grab something, and so he darted back up to his room, snatched it off his bedside table, and headed out again.

At Tal's place he rang the bell - he had a key but he liked to make sure Del knew he was here before coming inside. He didn't sneak up on Del, not ever. But when he went inside and walked loudly and called out to make sure everyone knew he was there, it seemed Del wasn't home anywhere. (For a moment he worried, a lot, because Del didn't go out much anymore, and at night even less - but it was Sunday. Del was at the hospital. Therapy. Jinx remembered to start breathing again.)

Upstairs he made his way up to Tal's bedroom and then poked the recently purchased Cheshire Cat around the corner of the doorframe, its manic grin all for Tal. "Hello, little lady," it said (with the help of Jinx.)
