Aly was lying across Bria's bed with her arms thrown up over her eyes to block out the horrible sun. "Stupid...daylight.." Aly moaned. And her throbbing head protested her words as much as it protested the light.

Bria, who was younger and though she had had just as much to drink as Aly, if not more, was not showing any effect of alcohol consumption. In fact, she looked quite cheerful and part of Aly really wanted to wring her perfect, scrawny neck for that. "You did go at it kind of hard last night." Bria said, amused.

"Can't help it. I'm surrounded by people who refuse to understand. Auuugghhh. I should be at the hospital now though, but Peter kicked me out and I don't know how long I'm supposed to stay away."

"Your husband's kind of hardcore." Bria said with a raised eyebrow. "Does he ever have any fun?" She plopped herself down on an oversized purple chair and she slung her legs over the sides so she was still facing Aly, even if Aly wasn't looking.

ALy considered that. "I...guess. Sometimes." She sighed then and she pulled her arms away from her eyes, running her fingers through her short hair. "He used to. But he's busy."

"Busy and boring. Good thing you have me!" Bria chirped. "We should go shopping. You can get something that would bowl him over and then refuse him any touch to show him who's boss."

Aly sighed. "I don't think he'll really be thinking about 'touch' while his daughter's sick."

"Sure he will, he's a man. If you don't want to go shopping, you can borrow my stuff, but I don't know what would fit you."

There it was again. A reminder that Bria was skinny and young and perfect and she was old and imperfect and even boring Peter couldn't possibly find her attractive. Deep down, she knew Peter wasn't boring, nor was she old or fat or ugly, but insecurity covered it all up and nothing else got through. "Shopping it is." Aly breathed. She didn't feel like trying on Bria's clothes only to have it proven that they wouldn't fit her. "But then I should go home."

"If you say so, though it sounds to me like your man doesn't want you there." Bria rolled her eyes to the ceiling and she started to hum a Muse song.

"Yeah...maybe...maybe another day is a good idea. We can go to class together on Monday. Might as well. I'll stay another day."
