Spectre had said that Flynn could come see him, and after ensuring that Quinn was situated and safe and sleeping, Quinn did just that. He slunk quietly up the stairs and he knocked lightly on Thomas and Spectre's door. Flynn felt bad because he wasn't worrying for Thomas, as much as he really did love him. There was far too much on his mind and he simply couldn't cope with more. Flynn knew that Thomas would either be okay, or Thomas would die and things would go back to the way they had been and that would be that. But Flynn did know Spectre had to be beside himself after everything...perhaps even beside himself and really far away...
When Flynn was told to come in, he did so, and his emotional onslaught upon seeing his best friend was almost instantaneous. Quinn was home, and just as unresponsive as he had been since June 5th. And having Quinn here and like that just drove it home even further that Flynn really had lost him.
Flynn felt his anguish overflow and he didn't even get a greeting out before he started sobbing. He managed to make his way across the room without tripping and he wrapped his arms around Spectre which unbalanced the both of them and they ended up on the floor in a pile of guitarists and Flynn didn't even notice. For the first time in all this, he was sharing his pain with someone instead of pretending it didn't exist or hiding behind the internet. And he curled up at Spectre's side his head in Spectre's lap, and he cried. And he didn't know if he would ever stop.
