Julian went to find his parents, and he found them together as he usually did, reading the newspaper in the livingroom, so to speak. Jordan's legs here in Joe's lap, and he was massaging her feet as she read the headlines out loud. And then, as Joe was always a mature soul, he was adding the word 'pants' to them. So 'Authorities Find Clue in Cold Case' became 'Authorities find Clue in Cold Case in Their Pants'. Yes. Joe was to be commended on his youthful humour at the age of 43.

Julian raised his eyebrows as Joe proclaimed that the Pope had received a letter to re-introduce the papal law of voluntary celibacy for priests in his pants. "That's a good place for that letter I suppose..." Julian pondered.

Joe chuckled and he looked up at his son, mid-massage. "Everything alright, Son?"

"Yes. I just wanted...I...Thursday's...soon." On Thursday, Julian was going to head back out onto the streets in a bid to entrap the drug dealer Renton James. The police would be nearby and Julian knew Damon would be very close too, but he was still scared... Julian ran his hands across the scruff that was growing on his chin so he'd look the part. "And I itch."

"I don't think I can help you with that part..." Joe frowned. Jordan swung her legs off of her husband's lap and she set aside the paper. She sat forward, with difficulty, as she was eight months pregnant.

"Julian, you don't have to do this..." Jordan began.

"No, I do." Julian walked forward and he sat beside his mother so the poor thing didn't have to lean forward. She looked uncomfortable. "I do have to. I'm going to. Doesn't mean I'm not scared." Julian wrapped his arms around his mother and he kissed her baby bump. "Hi, Baby Lucy!"

"Julian, we haven't named her yet!" But Jordan was laughing. She kissed Julian's hair, wrapping one arm around him so she could rub his back. "Did you feel her? She moved. She likes it when you talk to her."

"I'll keep her safe." Julian said, laying both his hands over his little sister.

"And we'll keep you safe, Julian." Joe interjected, putting a hand on Julian's shoulder. "The police and I. You're going to be fine. Besides, your mother already hit me, which means I have to keep my promise to bring you home safely. I don't break promises to your mother." Joe winked at Jordan, who all at once had to fight not to cry. But she hid it well.

"I'd be afraid to!" Julian agreed, and then he turned back to the baby bump. "Look out for Mum, Lucy. She knows when you're lying and she's always right."

Jordan laughed lightly and she leaned her head against Julian's. "And I know my boy will come home. Because he's brave, and stronger than any street criminal. Do you hear me?"

Julian nodded, but he didn't look at her. He kept his eyes focused on his little sister. He could feel her under his hands. He was going to meet that little baby. And so firmly he said, "I do."
