Spectre was overseeing the recording of the bass, drum and keyboard tracks for the re-release of his EP and Thomas knew that the entire band would hate that Deirdre wasn't there with them. Sure, the show had to go on, and they all knew she'd be back...hopefully soon...but the loss of Deirdre was a loss felt by everyone. She was loud and larger than life and bubbly and she filled a room and now that she was gone...everything felt sort of empty. She'd always been there. It was almost like they'd taken for granted that she always would be.

Thomas knew it hurt. And that Spectre was busy. So instead of interrupting, he placed a box of chocolates and a huge vase of flowers outside the door. There was a card that said For my Spectre, if you are not Spectre UNHAND THOSE CHOCOLATES! If you are my gorgestest man ever, then I just wanted you to know how much I love you. So eat these chocolates and sniff the flowers, and look at the gay stick people in compromising positions I drew on the other side of the card...and know how much you mean to me. Not everyone gets gay stick porn (okay that part's not true...) Things will be okay, Love. That's just how life...and beyond...happen to be.

He signed his name and then he walked away, smiling happily to himself. That, at least, made him feel warm inside.
