"Goodness me!" Spectre exclaimed, and swatted Thomas playfully on the bum with the Harry Potter book. "What a wicked child you were!" Although he was happy joking with Thomas, he kept one eye on Mara until she was out of sight. It hadn't escaped his notice that she'd given Peter a wide birth, and it didn't take a genius to figure out why. He gave Peter an apologetic smile. "She'll get used to you, I'm sure," he said.
Though she avoided the book-whacking, Tasha attached herself rather quickly to Thomas, clinging onto him and snuggling against his chest because he was generally awesome.
