Stephie woke up mid morning on Sunday feeling weak as a kitten but, thankfully, clearheaded. Her arms had turned to spaghetti and were little use in helping her sit up, but she propped herself up on the bedhead eventually and that's when she saw the redhead sitting at her desk, fingers dancing on the keyboard. "Scarlett?" she asked, completely puzzled.

Scarlett had been answering an email from Kait when she heard stirring from behind her and the a vaguely dazed 'Scarlett?'

She hit send on the email and then turned with a smile to Stephie. "Good morning, darling. How are you feeling?" She certinaly looked better than she had last night. Scarlett had arrived around eight with soup and had spent the night looking after the poor delirious and feverish girl before falling asleep on the couch downstairs.

Stephie rubbed her forehead with the back of her hand. "Better?" she wondered, having vauge recollections of trying to fly.

Scarlett got up from the computer and crouched over next to the bed, a warm smile on her face. "Yeah," she told her. "You had a very high fever. I was getting very close to calling a doctor for you."

"Thanks," Stephie smiled, very glad to see Scarlett again. "I hope you don't catch it."

She gave the other girl a shake of her head. "Nope," she said brightly. "I have an incredible immune system."

She reached for the water bottle on the bedside table. "Here," she said as she passed it to Stephie. "Drink."

Stephie reached for the drink, embracing it like an old friend and almost chocking on it when she drank too fast. "Ah shit," she said, wiping her mouth and trying again. "So... um, when did you get here?" she smiled sheepishly at Scarlett.

A smile at that. "Last night. While you were delerious." She tucked her hair behind her ears. "And don't worry: I slept on the couch."

"Heh heh," Stephie said. "Oh man, I hardly remember a thing. I didn't do anything stupid, did I?"

"You told me you wanted me," she said, deadpan. Then after a moment her face broke into a grin. "I'm kidding. No, you didn't say anything incriminating, just the usual silly fever things."

Stephie's mouth dropped open at Scarlett's first comment, but she laughed it off. "So I only made a bit of an idiot of myself, rather than a complete one. Well that's always good to hear."
