Stephie felt fifteen again. Stupid, volatile and angry at the world. She knew she shouldn't hit Tasha, even though it had felt really damn good to do it, she knew she should try and tone it all down, support someone, at least, but they were all being idiots about it. About everything. Even Scarlett had pulled away, needing alone time, so Stephie was left with Jude.
Which was a horrible way to put it, really. Jude was awesomeness in a tough little frame with a brand spanking new car, offering a joyride round the city- which really made her feel fifteen again. The only vehicles she'd been in recently were buses and the back of Scarlett's van, and neither of them went so fast they left her stomach and her thoughts and all her inhibitions behind.
Jude was definitely company of choice tonight.
Jude pushed the car as fast as it could go down one of the streets. Oh, it was SUCH a rush. (She'd taken to calling the car Vivica, but only in her head. She wasn't planning on letting anyone else know she'd named a car) "This is the kind of freedom I've been craving," she told Slink as they sped past a group of boys in another car.
"You have no idea." Stephie said, talking loudly over the sound of the wind rushing through the car. Convertable! Fantastic. There was a loud honking from behind them and Stephie looked over her shoulder to see the boy filled car closing the distance between them, hooting in their teenage boy language. Stephie gave them the finger.
