Sleeplessness (Danny, Rachel) Warning: self-harm

It was of little surprise to Danny that after the debacle following their showing of Winter Soldier, sleep was unobtainable. The rest of his weekend was spent in a state of horrified numbness, avoiding his mother and replying with single word answers if she pestered him.

By Monday morning, Danny still hadn't slept. It felt like his skin was humming he was so tired and wound up at the same time. He couldn't keep his body from shaking and so he refused to attend school, opting to stay home by himself.
