"Something's happening." Rolf said softly, looking over at his older brother, who was sitting at the table in Rolf's little living quarters, staring at a Dell Computer brochure with something akin to disbelief. "Have you seen anything, Amadeo? Amadeo? Will you put that down!?" Rolf walked over to his brother and he yanked the advertisement out of Amadeo's hands. No matter how long Amadeo stayed here in London, surrounded by modern things, he still seemed utterly confounded by them. "Have you seen anything lately? Please tell me."

Ah, Angels.... )

As the friendship lines between London and Wales started to grow blurred, Justine began to feel hemmed in and dissatisfied with her life just as she had begun to grow used to it. It wasn't an uncommon feeling for her, and when she first acknowledged it happening again, her face crumpled, and she burrowed her head into her pillow. Not here, not here too.

By the time she was linked it in her mind with her worlds of London and Wales colliding, she made herself feel a little bit better. Of course she didn't say anything to Ryan, who seemed to be trying so hard to keep those ties alive. And Jocelin didn't seem bothered either way, if indeed he even noticed it.

Of course, he didn't trawl the online livejournals like she had a habit of doing. Never replying, but just seeing what was said.

Going into her work at Quail, Justine found that she was just glad that there was one person here who had no ties at all to anything that had anything to do with London. Even if it was August. In front of August, she really was unruffled. Which made her sure that her problems only existed within the fishbowl of London. Not Wales. It was... nice.

Charlie bounced back into the living room where she'd left Ryan and Anna to watching DVDs when she'd bounded into her room at the sound of an email hitting her inbox. It was like an hour after that, and Charlie sagged onto the couch, leaning heavily against Anna, who unconsciously lifted an arm around her.

"I can't wait to go to London," she said, interrupting the sound of the movie. "It's going to be so damn good. I can't wait!"
