"Oh shhhhhit," Max said, as it slowly dawned on him what that meant. "Val-" There was absolutely nothing he could say here to make this better for his sister, so he went to hug her. "Are the police looking?" He knew Val would have gone there first, but he was panicking too and he felt he had to ask.
