In all the world, Cai had two places of sanctuary; his bedroom, and church. Currently however, his bedroom was overtaken with exam paraphernalia, so it was less of an oasis than usual. His final exam - History - was tomorrow, and though he did enjoy church - really, truly - he perhaps jumped at the chance to escape his room and the books with a fraction more eagerness than usual.
"Hullo again," he said, sidling up to a young woman he didn't recognise, holding a plate with the very last of the chocolate biscuits as an offering. "I saw you here last week but I never got a chance to say hey. So, hey, I'm Cai. Chocolate biscuit?"
