Quinn groaned at the text he had just received. "Eamon sounds really upset. He wants us to come over."

"Now?!" Flynn squeaked. He was currently flat on his back, since he had been in the middle of being spectacularly fucked by Quinn.

"He said he needed me." Quinn grumbled and he tossed his phone aside. "I really don't want to go!"

"This is what you get for answerin' your phone while you're fucking your husband!" Flynn scolded him.

"I'm waiting for a text from my professor! I told you that before we started!"

Flynn laughed and then he batted at Quinn's arms, since the man was still propped over him. "Go on, get out of me! Let's go see if your brother's okay."

"But I didn't- Urrrrgh," Quinn growled and then complied, grumbling as he pulled his boxers and then his clothes back on.

Flynn, who had nipped off to the bathroom, stuck his head back out the door as he pulled his own trousers on. "We'll make up for it later, Bub."

"Eamon better be really goddamn sad," Quinn grumbled, a sentiment he would feel terrible for later.

The pair of them made their way to Eamon's house and they let themselves inside since Eamon was expecting them. Eamon wasn't in his living room, nor was he in his kitchen. Quinn thought that was a bit strange, so he called out his brother's name. "Eamon, we're here! Where the feck are ya?"

There was a second of silence, a loud sniff, and then a weak, "in my bedroom."

Quinn suddenly didn't care that he had allowed himself to be interrupted in the middle of sex. Eamon really did need them. He sounded terrible. Quinn ran up the stairs to his brother's bedroom and he stuck his head inside. "Are you sick, Eamon?"

"No," Eamon replied, his voice sounding thick. "Adrina and I- We sort of... Adrina and I are on a break."

Quinn felt like he had just been kicked in the balls. Adrina was his best friend and he loved their relationship. They were beautiful together. This wasn't his tragedy to focus on, however. He needed to take care of his brother. "Oh, E," Quinn said sadly. "When?"

"A few hours ago," Eamon sniffed. "She just came over and then we talked and-" Eamon shook his head miserably.

"Have you eaten anything?" Flynn asked, switching into protective gear.

"No."

"I'll make you something easy. We can stay here tonight," Flynn said, casting a glance at his husband. Quinn nodded back, so utterly glad he was married to someone so wonderful.

"Of course we will," Quinn assured his brother.

""Thank you, both of you," Eamon said gratefully. He ate the soup Flynn made for him half-heartedly, and then he fell asleep from pure emotional exhaustion, flanked by his brother and his brother-in-law. By the time Quinn fell asleep as well, troubled by the knowledge that his brother and best friend were broken up, he had forgotten completely that he had been interrupted. All that he could think about were poor Adrina and Eamon.
