When Gavin had received the call from Peter Kemp, it immediately put him on edge. Peter hardly ever called unless something bad was happening. The guy was Gavin's hero and Peter knew that. They lived next door and if Peter wanted to spend time with him he simply came over. Calling meant trouble.

Gavin let Peter in and one look at the man let Gavin know he was right. "Peter, man," Gavin said, following Peter to his sitting room almost too closely. "What's going on, my heart is in my chest. Is everyone okay?" Lavannah was safe and upstairs, so at least he knew his fiance hadn't been hurt. But Gavin loved a great many people and any one of them could have been harmed or killed. That was the life they led.

"Saul came to tell me that Jerome informed the Templar about the location of the safehouse in Aberdeen," Peter explained. The dark expression on his face suddenly made absolute sense.

At the request of Lavannah, Gavin had long ago stopped running around with Dead Meat, avenging what the Templar had done to him for over a year. But Saul was still his friend and Dead Meat had a very special place in his heart. All the hate in his body, Gavin reserved for the Templar. "What a low fucking move."

Peter nodded, agreeing without saying it. "Gavin, I know it's a lot to ask, but I need to know if you are aware of the location of any Templar strongholds in Scotland. It's unlikely they took what prisoners they apprehended to a fortress in Aberdeen. They would know it was too obvious. You were held in Edinburgh, is that correct?"

Gavin ran his fingers through his bright red hair as he nodded uncomfortably. "Yeah."

"Do you know of any other strongholds in Scotland large enough to accomplish a-" Peter bit his lip. "-a large scale execution."

Gavin closed his eyes for a moment to let the fear pass him over. He had nearly been executed by the Templar before. He knew the terror. He opened his eyes and nodded. "Edinburgh is large, but most of that place isn't set up for heretics. It's a place they go to learn and...you know, hold hostages for years." Gavin hissed and then he shifted his feet. "That would be taken care of in Glasgow."

"Do you know where the stronghold is located?" Peter asked.

Gavin nodded. "Let me get my shoes and let Lavannah know. I'll assume you're holding a briefing? I'll point you straight to it, but I can't come with you."

"I would never ask you to, Gavin," Peter said, reaching out to give his shoulder a squeeze. Gavin was glad for the comfort. His dreams would likely be filled with Templar and torture tonight.
