"Arrr, where's me parrot!" Deirdre grinned at Helena and she went to hug the girl who had known her longer than most of the people who had gathered to celebrate her wedding. Helena was like a sister to her. She had known Deirdre in her childhood in Dublin and they had gotten up to much mischief, together with Deirdre's cousin Evanna, which had tormented and thrilled Helena's foster brother, Lee.
Seeing Helena and Deirdre together, Evey left Lee's side and she joined them. "Did you just ask about a parrot?"
"Arrrr, every pirate queen needs her parrot!" Deirdre replied.
"Does chicken count? You're about to eat some," Evey winked at Helena.
"Oh no, me birdy, arrrr!" Deirdre laughed and then she reached out her hand to hold Evey's. "All pirates aside, I'm glad you're here."

"Me too, Desi," Evey answered with a wide smile.
