"You don't have to worry about others," Mary soothed as best she could. "We're going to stop Amaris. We know we have to, and we won't give up until we do. Just focus on getting stronger yourself, okay? I know you can do it." It was obvious there was no point in challenging Thomas' perceptions now. The best thing to do seemed to be to work around them. Comfort Thomas with a context malleable enough to apply to whatever situation he believed himself to be in.
