Renee entered Dante's poetry bar a little before seven, nervous but very excited at the same time. She read here quite often, but tonight was special. Tonight she was going to read "Daddy", her favourite Sylvia Plath poem. It touched her too deeply to be able to read it out before tonight. She hoped Deirdre would be there, somehow she thought that her presence would make it that little bit easier. She smiled and waved to Jim who was sitting at his usual place at the bar, a little way around a corner so he could hide in the shadows and then occasionally take everyone unawares by yelling boisterously.
