This moment shaking in my hands - Yvonne, Delilah, Jinx, sort of!Tal, open to any who want to visit

By the time the first pink bouquet arrived at the hospital, Yvonne had taken charge.

"Get it out of here," she'd hissed to the delivery man - the poor delivery man just doing his job and having no idea of the sort of horrible situation he'd walked into. But the flowers had to be collected and so Yvonne did it, throwing them - and the CONGRATULATIONS! balloon - into the closest bin.

BABY BABY BABY - Jinx, Delilah, Tal

When Jinx really thought about it, it was a little odd.

He'd moved from Manchester following Delilah so many years ago and here in London he'd met so many new people and made a completely new life for himself. After all the women he'd been with since coming to London, in 20-freaking-14 he was back with Tallulah - one of the very first girls he'd dated - and they were on the verge of having a baby and starting a family together. After all the friends he'd made and after Delilah leaving London for years and running away from everything, Jinx had ended up practically living with her now; Delilah, who was almost his oldest friend in the world.

It was weird that all life's turns had led him right back to the people he started off with. He didn't mind though.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" Delilah demanded from where she sat at the kitchen table, flicking through her magazine.

"Nah," Jinx said, waiting for the kettle to boil, "it's nothing. Just thinking what a loser you are."

"Fag," Delilah told him, because goddamn Jinx had the most obvious fond face in the world. And living with Tal, Delilah saw that expression a whole lot from him.

"Telling my baby mama about that crack," Jinx informed her. "Hey Tal!" he called out so that Tal - in the living room - was sure to hear. "Your roommate thinks I'm faggy!"

Del/Pierre - PG 13

It was as much the desire for sex as the desire to get out of her aunt's house that sent to to Victoria Lane and Pierre's bed. She wouldn't admit even to herself how much she enjoyed his presence. It even seemed like the sex was better with him than with other guys, and she couldn't quite work out why. All the same technicalities were going on and yet... but it was also scarier. The way he looked into her eyes during terrified her and made everything in her want to run.

But when they were done she didn't run. She slept. Not in his arms. Never in his arms. Delilah wasn't that type of girl. She wasn't the huggable lover to keep close as you dozed off. She had been once, but not now. Not anymore.

She knew it was a dream almost as soon as she fell into it. Sometimes it was just so clear. She'd never seen the way it had happened in real life, but she'd seen it a million times and a million differant ways when she'd closed her eyes. Screech of tires, screams of the dying, smash of glass. In her dreams she was always there, always watching from the sidelines and never able to do anything to change it. She screamed and yelled and shook and cried but nothing else.

Del/Jinx - G

“How’d it go?” Jinx asked as Delilah entered her room. She’d been out all day with Pierre trying to keep people together. Well, Delilah had been doing less of keeping people together and more trying to make amends. She still didn’t know where she wanted to be with Pierre- “You love him” “Would you shut the fuck up, Jinx?”- but she did know she didn’t want him to be upset. And this whole Renee…thing was upsetting him. She didn’t really care too much about the two girls…but Pierre? Delilah could have bitch slapped Renee all the way back across the English Channel for that.

“It went…well, sucky.” She dropped down on her bed next to him and wondered, not the first time, why the hell Jinx had taken over her room and why she wasn’t kicking him out.

“And how’s your boyfri- don’t hit me!” He flinched away and she let her hand fall down onto her stomach as she lay looking at the ceiling.

“He’s not.”

“I know, darlin.”

“You shouldn’t.”

“I’m sorry.”

A long pause and silence filled the room.

“You didn’t answer my question,” he told her.

Del shrugged. “He’s…” Sad. Hurt. My poor Pierre.

“Sucky?”

She sighed and closed her eyes. “Yeah.”

A shadow just behind me - Del/Jinx

Marco had dropped Del, Ry, and Lexie back at the house and Delilah had moved inside more slowly than the others, dawdling slightly with her backpack. Download had been excellent- of course- but it had been a lot of time around Pierre. Or, more correctly, a lot of time trying not to be around Pierre. She didn’t even know how to react to him. It was all too much to think about and it weighed down in her mind. Christopher weighed on her mind an unnatural amount recently too. At Download she swore she’d seen him a few times. So much so that one of the times Scarlett’s brother James had almost had to spin her around to get her attention. Christopher was like a ghost following her along and Pierre was his shadow. )

This is better - Delilah - G

They needed her to work on Sunday. Delilah had informed them this simply wasn't going to happen. No way in hell. This, apparently, wasn't clear enough and it was the last straw for Delilah.

She quit. She walked out of the bookshop and was two blocks away when she realised what she'd done and muttered 'fuck!' under her breath. What the hell was she meant to do without a job?? She needed to learn to...be less something.

Right. As soon as she got back from Download-

Her thoughts were interrupted by the whir of machinary to her right. She looked over and saw the garage. Not a big place, greasy looking and with a sign out the front that read 'Caleb's.'

She looked at it for another moment and then shrugged. "What the hell, right?" she told herself and walked over to where someone was working under a car. "Hey, is these a boss around here I can talk to?" she asked.

Ry/Del/Slink...sadly not like that.

It was about two hours after they spoke that Delilah rocked up to the address Ry had given her, parking her bike in the driveway and pulling off her helmet. She'd decided, while riding here, that yes, she did like this city quite a bit.

The house wasn't bad...Hell, who was she kidding: the house was really Nice. At least, it looked it from the outside. Ry was doing good for himself.

She gave a tug on the purple striped socks peeking out the top of her knee high boots and then walked over to the front door to knock.

Del / Renee - Girly support - PG

Renee caught the soonest bus that she could to make her way down to Del's new place. Part of her didn't even want to see the girl, after what she'd done to Pierre. But that was selfish, and she knew it. There were too many other factors driving Renee on to see Del. The fact that she hadn't seen her since getting out of hospital. The fact that something bad had happened to her...

Maybe even as bad as what had happened with Marcel?

Lee and Delilah, Flying Musical Doom.

Lee was taking a break from unpacking the miniscule amount of things he'd brought over from Dublin by lying on the lawn, soaking up whatever rays of sun he could get. He'd always been a bit of a sun-whore and he knew how rare sunny days in London were, so he was making the most of it while he could.

Cars were rushing past on the nearby street, a neighbour was mowing a lawn and Lee thought it might be nice if he had some music. He'd have to look into getting an mp3 player of some sort.

It was at that moment when a CD came flying out of the upstairs window and landed on the grass beside him. Well... that hadn't been quite what he'd expected. He rolled over and plucked it from the ground, it was by someone he hadn't heard of, Dream Theater. It had come out of Del's window and he wondered if it had been accidental or not. (But then why would a CD be sitting on her windowsill without a case?)

He decided to take it back up to her. Coming out of the sun, he took the stairs two at a time as usual and knocked on her bedroom door.

My empire of dirt - Delilah - PG-13

Delilah hadn’t been home at all since leaving Pierre’s house. That night she’d got on her bike and ridden as fast as she could down the almost-empty night streets, tears being stripped away by the wind. She ended up eventually in a dirty old bar where she downed enough shots just to take the edge off and then a few more to make it disappear completely. )

Del/Pierre - R

Delilah as good as had a house. It was a nice feeling. She didn't even mind that she wasn't going to be in the attic. (She hadn't really wanted it that badly anyway.)

Now came the much scarier task and Delilah was almost shaking as she rode her bike up into the driveway at Victoria Lane and stepped off. She had to grab the clothing she'd left here the night before but she still wasn't sure what to do about Pierre. She suddenly wished she was drunk again.

Please don't be home, please don't be home... she thought as she knocked on the front door.
