Lavinia arrived in Georgia on the band's day off. She had never before been to the United States or even outside of the UK before except for her week-long honeymoon with her first husband which she had spent in Paris. When she had married Bernard, he had decided to take her to the coast for a weekend and then he had to return to work. Lavinia could kick herself now for not realising he was a dropkick, but hindsight was twenty-twenty and after seventy-five years, Lavinia had a lot of it. Today, she intended on passing some on.

Godric had gone with Serenity to the audition, so he had seen Serenity's interaction with Flynn. Flynn had happened to be there because he did live with Spectre and he hadn't wanted Spectre to be alone. Serenity and Flynn had hit it off right away, and that made Godric happy. He loved it when people he knew liked each other. Which was why he suggested they go visit her during his lunch hour while Flynn was loitering in his shop pretending to buy things but really 'hanging out' in his own obscure way.

Godric had called into the helpline to let them know he wouldn't be in. This happened every once in awhile and they were well used to it by now. They knew Godric suffered from bipolar disorder, and that even though he managed it well and stuck to his meds, sometimes a depressive state was unavoidable.

Some things are simple (Serena, Godric)

Reading the paper was often a depressing exercise, but one that Serena usually forced herself to do. She had to engage with the world somehow. So her eyes flittered over the hopeless words as the cafe buzzed around her. She was caught up in a story about pirates and booty when someone put their hand on the middle of her paper, crinkling it downwards so she could see the culprit who had sat himself down at her table across from her. "Do you ever work?" Godric asked, arching one of his immaculate eyebrows as he reached forward to pilfer a fingerful of her muffin.
