Hurtling towards the final fight (Peter, Stuart, Katia, Thomas)
When Peter woke up, he felt monumentally stupid. He had sat there in the midst of Thomas' hypnotism and listened to Thomas speak about a girl who turned on lights with her mind and just happened to slip out of her chains, and still Peter didn't equate it with the dream he had had of the girl in the middle of a whirlwind of debris, until he had dreamt of the girl again.
Now he could think of nothing else. The blond girl had managed to keep Amaris at bay by use of her powers, whirling anything she could around and around her. Amaris had given up and left her, focusing instead on hurting her other captives, which Peter was witness to far too much of in his dream as well. The small girl was unboubtedly a powerful ally, and also undoubtedly scared shitless.
Peter made his way to the hospital in haste. He needed help if he knew what he thought he knew. The second he entered the hospital, Peter was met by Stuart who just happened to be one of his oldest friends. "Stu!"
"Good morning, Peter." Stuart smiled. "You look like a man on a mission."
"Absolutely." Peter acknowledged with a smile. "I was on my way to find Lucian. I have a feeling I know where to find our lots friends. I had a dream about a girl Amaris has captive. She's...fascinating. She can move things with her mind."
"Like Carrie?!" Stuart sounded terrified. "That's creepy!"
"She's just a scared girl. And she tried to help Thomas. Do you know where Lucian i-" Before Peter could even finish his question, Katia ran up to them, breathless.
"Stuart! Letter for you." She shoved the envelope into his hands and immediately Stuart looked up at Peter with terrified eyes.
"Peter..." He could feel the envelope was heavy. There was something inside. Something like...pictures.
"Open it." Peter said, filled with cold dread now. "I'm right here."
Stuart did, and he was horrified at what he saw. "Abby! Mara! Peter, Amaris has my family!"
"I'm on it!" Peter rushed towards the lab, just hoping Lucian would be there to ask. The man was related to Aurelia. He would know about the family homestead, painted white and blue but weathered so it looked like shades of gray. He never noticed Thomas listening from just around the corner.
If he had, perhaps things would have gone differently.
