Pierre / Kait / Scarlett - Back in London - G

Pierre stepped off the chunnel train, dragging two heavy suitcases behind him. Like last time, the arrival was pretty anticlimactic. The first time, he had expected to step off the train and smell some sort of majestic scent that he could forever label as England. Instead, he just got exactly the same bloody train station smell. Except a little more damp and unpleasant.

This time, though, he had something more pleasant than further public transport to look forward to. Through the waiting throng, he finally spotted one of them. The blazing red hair was hard to miss, and though he couldn't see her face, it was no mystery who the brunette standing beside her would be. Grinning widely, he pressed his strong, young body through the crowd to the two waiting ladies.

"Kait, Scarlett, my lovely ladies, it is so good to see you!" He dropped his suitcases and pulled them both into a tight embrace, loving the opportunity to have two beautiful girls in his arms at once.

Kait almost wept at the first sight of Pierre. There was something so comforting about the great hug that he caught her in upon greetings. They had so much to catch up on, yet in the height of the moment, they would of course talk of none of it.

"It is wonderful to see you also. How was your time away?" Kait asked, stepping back.

"Hectic!" Pierre replied, picking up his bags once more. His muscles tensed against his skin, but his expression and voice gave no sign of any exertion. "It is more paperwork than you know to be here! But Regents like that I am to learn more English, so that is well," he smiled.

"Please, I will follow," he said, wishing to leave the station as soon as possible. It would be much easier to talk in Kait's car, without all these people about.

"Oh! Of course." Leading the way, Kait moved swiftly outside of the bus terminal, keeping a careful distance between herself and Scarlett most of the time.

Hmm... Kait and Scarlett hadn't touched the entire time they had been here... odd. It was hardly the kind of thing Pierre could bring up in everyday conversation, though. It was probably nothing, anyway. Surely somebody would have told him if anything... drastic had happened.

They seemed to be heading towards a very expensive-looking vehicle. Despite the fact that he was pretty much expecting this, Pierre couldn't contain a sound of pure, masculine excitement.

"Ah Kait, I knew there was a reason I loved you, aside from the many I already knew!"

Scarlett was so pleased to have Pierre back in the country but she also would have had to have been blind (and deaf and dumb and probably retarded) not to notice the tension that was happening between she and Kait. Scarlett wasn't even entirly sure what it was. She felt more quiet around the feeling in the air, more subdued, and couldn't quite drag out her usual flamboyant self.

"Well of course. Everybody has to have a rich friend they can call on from time to time," Kait replied, opening the door and standing aside for Scarlett and Pierre. "Else, what is money even good for?

"Sex, drugs and rock and roll!" Pierre countered immediately, flashing Scarlett a smile. She seemed so very down... he gently touched her hand as he entered the car, hoping that she would sit next to him. He wanted desperately to comfort her. She was such a sweet girl. Whatever plagued her mind, she surely didn't deserve it.

"Well that, obviously," Kait smiled. She glanced towards Scarlett. Why, the other girl hadn't said anything since Pierre had replied. And she'd hardly been the most talkative on the way there. For Scarlett, that meant something was definitely up. All of the insecurities and fears that she'd been having of late were being tested right now and coming up true. In responce, Kait did the only thing she could do: tried to bring out the lighter, happier side of her own personality to perk things up.

Pierre's worries only grew as the others piled in. Kait's mood was clashing terribly with Scarlett's. Normally they were of one mind, but now...

He knew Kait too well to think she was being insensitive. She was overcompensating. The tension between them was palpable. For the moment, having had little sleep and only poor food, he was at a loss as to what to actually do about it...
