Rachel reached for his hand with one of hers, stroking his arm with the back of her other hand. Danny looked bad and she had a sudden fear that he was going to die - sudden and deep and ice cold. "Danny?"

Zoe turned to tell Cai to go and get a nurse but one had arrived just after security so all she had to do was step back. Cai stepped back with her, flashed her a smile and said "Nice kick." Zoe's smile was thin, just an acknowledgement that she'd heard him and little else. He tried not to take it personally, but like everything else today, it wasn't easy.
