Peter beamed with pride as Aly's parents gave her away and then she came to stand beside him. They turned to face Father Bianco and then, as if they'd been planning to do it, they both reached out and clasped hands at the same time. That brought a smile to Deirdre's face as she sat beside Kait who had finished her playing for the moment.

Father Bianco launced into the ceremony, but Peter knew the words by heart having said them dozens of times. He just let the experience of standing in front of all his friends and family with this extraordinary woman beside him wash over him. And soon they'd be married.

Aly felt the same way, though she was listening to the words. They meant so much to her. She never thought she'd find someone she loved as much as she'd loved William. She never thought she'd have this again, nor had she ever had a wedding she knew would go on. William had already been diagnosed when they'd been married. Everyone had known it was short term. This one would last. She squeezed Peter's hand as he turned to her and said 'I do'. Those two words melted her heart. When it was her turn, she wasn't surprised that she felt tears form in the corner of her eyes. Her voice broke as she said "I do" and a tear fell down her cheek. Peter smiled and he reached up, moving his hand under her black veil to wipe the tear from her cheek which caused everyone watching to go 'awwwwww' loudly.

Deirdre's pure voice rang out as she sang "Never Saw Blue Like That" accompanied by Kait's piano. Then Father Bianco turned to them both and he smiled at them fondly. "Do you have the rings?"

Caleb held them up proudly. "I have one!" He called. Father Bianco smiled and he took the ring from Caleb and the other one from Thomas. Aly handed her bouquet to Christina to mind. She took Peter's ring and she slid it onto his finger with a smile. Peter did the same with hers.

"I uhm...have something else." Peter said, pulling a velvet bag out of his pocket. He'd read up on Spanish weddings and he knew it was customary for the groom to give the bride 13 coins to symbolise his promise to support her. Aly grinned and she took the bag and looked inside.

"How..how did you know?"

Peter blushed. "I used the interwebs." Aly chuckled and she looked at the 13 coins inside. "Thank you, Peter!"

Father Bianco grinned and said "I now prounounce you man and wife. You may kiss."

Peter didn't need to be told twice. He pushed Aly's veil back and he pulled her into a deep deep kiss which seemed never ending until Thomas cleared his throat and Peter finally pulled away.
