Cai looked up at Val, unable to hide the alarm on his face. He'd been up all night - he was unable to hide any emotion. Val was supposed to stay because he didn't know how to talk to Danny right now - even though Val had said there wasn't anything he could say to make it worse Cai didn't really believe her. He'd upset Danny before and he really didn't want to do it again by saying something dumb.

"So we have matching scars now," he said, weakly.
