"If your subtle attempts at a conversation are about me, you can tell them," he said, and Zoe realised what a potential mistake she could be making. What if Cai didn't want all these people he'd not met before knowing, and she was just messing about, being silly. She felt ashamed. She was never silly. "But if it is secret Uncle-Niece clubhouse propaganda then by all means continue."

"I'm so sorry," Zoe said, seriously. "I'm being an idiot."

"I said it was okay," Cai smiled at her. Zoe bit her lips, feeling undeserving of his smile. But Cai was okay. Zoe had told him that Liz and Emma knew she was psychic, and Peter obviously knew because he was psychic as well, and Thomas - Cai wondered what strange meant when it came to Thomas, but he really didn't think that Zoe would be acting so open if she didn't trust these people.

And Cai reckoned that anyone Zoe trusted, he could trust too. She didn't seem the type to give out trust easily.
