Liz had been puttering around the kitchen, banana bread baking in the oven behind her. She smiled and headed out to the entryway to greet Zoe and her gentleman caller. That was what Emma kept referring to her as, poor Zoe.

"Hello, young man!" Liz said, grinning widely at him. He was adorable. Emma swept in from the conservatory where she had been writing. Before she greeted anyone else, she went to plant a kiss on Liz's lips. As she should.
