She had said they were friends, and that mattered so much to him. She was upset because he had gone through pain, and though he was sad she had to feel that way, it meant someone else cared about him. That was pretty priceless.

"I'm not so fond of it either," he said with a small smile. "And I'd be really pissed off if someone treated you like crap too."

That comment made Liz smile to herself as she turned to make some garlic bread.
