Svetlana swung the candelabrum to point at the angel's chest, and stalked over to her. "She's crawling out of the coffin I damn well put her in," she snarled. "And now I'm going to put her back." She grabbed hold of the angel's soul for a taste, but didn't take all of it. She wanted the boost, but she also wanted Aurelia to feel the pain as Svetlana killed her again.

"We're going," Mary assured Lavannah, and paused only long enough to shrug off her jacket and wrap it around the younger woman, before bursting out of the cell again. "We're about to have company, we have to get out of here!"
