Svetlana liked that. The idea that Peter would stand against them, no matter what. She knew what Peter could do when he had to. Still, she had something she had to ask.

"Peter?" Svetlana said, her finger tracing small circles on his trouser leg. "Do you think... are you more scared of them than you were of me? When I was bad?" Svetlana wasn't sure herself what she wanted the answer to be. If the answer was no, then she was truly a terrible thing. Even worse than this, and she didn't want to have been that. But if he said yes... then that meant she had to be scared, too.
