Thomas nodded, sniffling. He reached for one of the sandwiches, pulling his other arm back to wrap around his stomach again. "She's getting tired of me." Thomas' whispers were now dark. "She might kill me soon. That'd be okay. I'll be with you." Thomas smiled at Mary. "She said she might hurt someone else. That she's tried of just hearing me scream."
